Motherhood

Motherhood is the spring of world peace.
Becoming a mother is the closest thing to experiencing the euphoria of achieving peace.
Until we equate motherhood with power and world change, peace is just an abstract ideology.

  1. What about women who cannot or do not want to become mothers?

  2. I wrote this a long time ago, but I am pretty sure I did not mean motherhood in the biological sense, but rather in the abstract meaning of motherhood as compassion. When I gave birth to my son, my fear for his life was my overriding emotion. If everyone experiences that feeling towards any, and preferably all, human beings, that's peace!
